Revolutionizing
the delivery method and
drug discovery
Applying nature’s experience
Our technology starts with understanding neurotoxins’ transporting mechanism in diverse organisms found in the natural world. Neurotoxins have a unique ability to pass the blood-brain barrier, and we use this property for efficient drug delivery.
Revealing drug-to-target interaction in brain
The most common hallmark of drug brain penetration in vivo is the drug concentration in the central nervous system and cerebrospinal fluid; however, the brain is a unique organ and consists of different types of cells with different permeability. Measuring the drug concentration in the brain cannot tell us whether the drug actually reached its target molecules in the brain cells.
We are developing a new method to assess drug-to-target interactions in the animal brain. Our new method will be a guide for a broad therapeutic assessment that includes drug efficiency, size and dose frequency, and possible side effects.
